Plant Genetic Resources Database

The Department of Agriculture's Biodiversity Unit has agreed to fund GHI's proposed Plant Genetic Resources Database Project. The project will last 1 year and seeks to create a definitive database containing information on economically and agriculturally important plant resources in Ireland.

Thanks to the feedback we received from the "Growing Wild" Conservation Programme workshop participants, the "Growing Wild" website has been re-designed and updated to reflect the comments and suggestions of users. "Growing Wild" Workshop

GHI is launching a series of workshops as part of its "Growing Wild" Conservation Programme. The workshops are designed to promote the creation and use of garden habitats which support native species of plants and animals (including birds and butterflies). The workshops are OPEN and FREE to the public or any interested group or organisation. The first workshop will be held at the Manorcunningham Resource Centre in Manorcunningham, Co.
